Telescopic crowns have been used mainly in removable dental prostheses to connect the dentures to the remaining dentition. They may also be designated as retainers in completely abutment-borne detachable prostheses. In addition, telescopic crowns have been used successfully in removable and fixed dental prostheses supported by endosseous implants in combination with natural teeth including overdentures.It is made up of two parts, non-precious or precious metal cap put on the prep, on which second part would be fabricated with enough friction between two parts. And second part has resin on it.
